Engineered wood flooring Advice
Engineered wooden floors are the perfect option for those seeking a real wood effect without excessive maintenance. It looks just like solid wood flooring, only it’s able to be installed in a broader range of environments.
Thanks to its tough and unique construction, engineered wood flooring can be installed in areas such as the kitchen or conservatory. It is naturally resilient against changes in temperature and moisture; which also means these floors can be installed with suitable underfloor heating systems. We do not recommend installing engineered wood flooring in areas that will expose it to a lot of water such as bathrooms and toilets.
The top layer of the floor is constructed from a real solid wood veneer. The rest of the layers are constructed with plywood, softwood or HDF. Whichever style of construction you opt for, you can guarantee the floors won’t shrink or warp over time.
